Joanne Davies - BDS MSc FDS MOrth RCS.

Joanne studied dentistry at the University of Birmingham and qualified in 1992. After completing a year working in general dental practice in Swansea, she joined the department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Bridgend hospital. After six months, she moved to Swansea where she gained valuable experience working in the department of Restorative Dentistry, in Morriston hospital. In 1996 she successfully passed the Fellowship in Dental Surgery examination awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Later the same year, Joanne started her postgraduate orthodontic training in Bristol with a regional attachment at Musgrove Park hospital, Taunton. She was awarded the Master of Science in Orthodontics degree (University of Bristol) in 1999 and the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the same year.

Joanne joined the Exeter Orthodontic Practice as a fully fledged specialist in 1999 and became a partner in 2005.

She is currently a member of the British Orthodontic Society and has been actively involved in the committee of the Exeter and District Section of the British Dental Association for several years. Joanne is also a member and past treasurer of the Exeter and District Orthodontic Study Circle.

Joanne lives with her partner Alister and their three cats. She enjoys running, food, wine and cooking though not usually all at the same time.
